The big news for Brazil was Neymar choosing to sit this one out in favour of the home Olympics. They still have some fantastic talents available and should go deep into the competition. They have yet to really hit their straps in World Cup qualifying with 2 wins, 3 draws and 1 loss so far to place them in 6th from the 10 teams. In recent friendly games they have beaten Canada, Panama and USA. Ecuador had a tremendous start to qualifying, topping the table with a run of 4 wins and 1 draw until the 3-1 loss to Colombia halted them slightly. They still top the table but are level now with Uruguay. In friendlies over the last year they have beaten Panama and Honduras but lost to USA. Head to head this tie has been heavily weighted to the Brazilians with 8 wins to them and 2 wins to Ecuador with 1 draw.
Ecuador are in good form but this ebullient young Brazilian side could go all the way. Big odds here again for me and the win price for Brazil at 1.85 or 17-20 looks good.
