Brazil have been hit with a tournament ban for leading man Neymar. His explosion at the end of the Colombia game has cost him and his country dearly. However sometimes these things act as a catalyst and really bring the rest of the team together. Brazil have not really set the competition alight but they do have 2 wins so far from 3. They lost to Colombia 1-0 in a very dour game. However wins over Peru and Venezuela took them through as Group winners. Under Dunga they are always going to sacrifice the beautiful game for 3 points or qualification. Winning the competition and playing poor would be acceptable. I don’t really rate Paraguay at all even though they got through as 2nd place without losing. The beat Jamaica 1-0 and had draws with Argentina and Uruguay. I think the negative intentions will return for Paraguay and I see them as another team who will seek to kill the game. A draw would be the best they can hope for. If Brazil score early their gameplan is dead in the water. I see a comfortable win for the Brazilians here.
We take Brazil -0.75 on Asian handicap. I was considering “win to nil” at 13-10 or 2.30 with Bet365 which is a great price. However I prefer the chances of the handicap. We need a 2 goal win for full payout. 1 goal win sees half stakes win and half refund.
