Bolivar of Bolivia have left themselves too much to do in the 2^nd leg semifinal of Libertadores. San Lorenzo ran out 5-0 winners. The Bolivians were still in the tie with 20 minutes left as they were on ly 2 goals down. However a further 3 in 20 mins meant the game is 99% over. San Lorenzo take their record to  won 5, drew 3 and lost 3. They have had a very tough run to this stage having beaten three Brazilian sides in Botafogo, Gremio and Cruzeiro. Bolivar like most teams from Bolivia rely upon the immense advantage of high altitude. Not many Bolivian teams progress in this competition as collectively they are generally useless away from home. Bolivar have yet to lose at home this year, winning 3 and drawing  2. They have had a pretty easy run to this stage though. Eliminating Leon and Lanus in knockout stages.  This is a tricky game for San, with Bolivar’s home ground the Hernando Silas a ridiculous 12,000 feet above sea level altitude can destroy teams.

Bolivar will be kicking themselves after a golden chance of qualification was destroyed in Argentina. They are able to give teams a couple of goals start knowing that most sides implode at Hernan Siles at the high altitude. Giving away 5 goals however is too much. I do still think they can grab a few goals and they will give it a go anyway. Expect San Lorenzo to suffer late in the game. A 2 goal margin win is easy for Bolivar.
