Hosts France are back in action and they move down to Marseille to take on Albania. The French won 2-1 opening day against a decent Romania side and they face a similar set up with this Albania side.  The win on day wasn’t a clear cut thing however. Romania got in behind France many times and in reality a team with better strikers would have cut Les Blues to pieces. Long, deep balls seemed to cause the French massive problems also. Going forward they looked good with Giroud holding up play well and Payet showing great touches and of course grabbing a superb winner. Star man Pogba never really got hold of the game and must improve.  No injury or suspension worries for them. Albania started very brightly but Lorik Cana had a typical brain fart and got sent off for a strange handball. Still with 10 men they troubled Switzerland and passed the ball around intelligently and with some purpose.  Head to heads between these two sides shows 4 wins for France and 1 for Albania.

Albania have a template for this game and they should basically go with what Romania did. Balls in behind a static looking French backline and flooding the midfield. They need to keep 11 men on the pitch which helps too! For me this will be tight 1^st half but then I expect France to open up. A low scoring affair again looks likely and a 1-0 wouldn’t be out of the question either. I take half time draw and full time France at a large looking 3-1 or 4.00 WilliamHill.
