TEAM NEWS AND RUN OF PLAY

AIK had a strong showing in the Swedish Allsvensken, making themselves very difficult to beat they only lost 5 times in the entire season. However too many draws was to be their downfall and they finished in a disappointing 4^th, just outside qualification for Europe next year. In Europa Liga they found themselves with a mountain to climb. Drawn with Champions League heavyweights Napoli and PSV and crack Ukrainian side Dnipro they were given no hope. That they sit on gameday 4 still in with a chance to progress is credit to them.

Napoli are one of the strongest sides in Italy Serie A and in Edison Cavani have one of the best strikers in world football. At their San Paolo home they are a match for any side and their fans are a joy to behold. Sitting in 4^th in Serie A, 5 points behind leaders Juventus they will be looking for a Champions League place at least. In Europa liga Napoli have not yet shown their true form. Playing shadow sides has yielded 2 wins and 2 losses, they are loathe to over commit themselves as they are truely concentrating on league form. A full strength Napoli side would top this group but ease but we have only seen a relatively strong side once and they hammered group leaders Dnipro 4-2.
