Ajax of Netherlands host Legia Warsaw of Poland in a game I believe is too big a price on the home side. Ajax are currently 2nd place in Eredivisie, with 49 points from 23 games. They are not on the best of runs form wise with 4 wins, 1 draw and 2 losses. They move down from the competition after an impossible mission in Champions League – drawn with Barcelona and PSG they managed four points and 3rd position after beating and drawing with APOEL. Leewenburgh is out injured and a few doubts remain over a few players. Legia come into this one top of the Ekstraklasse. They have 38 points from 20 games but have played just 2 games competitively since mid December. (lost and drew) They have done well in Europa Liga so far with 7 wins and 1 loss. However they did lose in Champions League qualifier against Celtic which is a poor result given Celtic’s struggles these days.
The bookmakers have these two teams on a par and for me that’s wrong. Ajax are far superior than Legia and 2.04 Ajax is a great price.
