Both sides will field their strongest available 11. Anzhi will focus on their strong defense, wait for any Udinese errors and leave it up to the excellent Et’o and Traore up front to convert whatever comes their way. Udinese is a fairly playful team and they’re really tough to beat. Udinese has rescued several points in injury time this season. Udinese leaks goals at both ends, which for me is a big worry when they go to Russia to meet a very compact Anzhi. They will need their veteran striker Di Natale to be on form to convert if they are to get anything out of this game.

This is a must win for Udinese, so they will push for goals. It’s very either or. In a match like this, should they go 2 down they will be less motivated to give their all as hope will be more or less lost. Normally when a side like Udinese leaking goals at both ends meets such a talented defense with top class strikers I am interested in the team with the best defense. Having watched the Anzhi games I think their defensive mindset in Europe is exploitable. Liverpool for instance fielded a very young and fringes based team against them last time around and they could easily have gotten something out of this game. If Anzhi is thoroughly tested Udinese can perhaps get something here? We know they don’t miss fighting spirit. They have an excellent striker in Di Natale, and there is plenty of forward drive in this side. As the draw doesn’t help Udinese at all here I don’t see much value in a draw no bet type of Asian Handicap. Neither do I like Anzhi or Udinese +0.5 for the same reasons. Also the Udinese+1 is a bit dangerous as it’s either or. Either Udinese gets the win, or they can easily lose by lots. It is that type of game, it all depends on how the game is being played on the night. Sorry: No bet from me here.

Anzhi has a good defense, and could normally use this to grab a controlled win. Here, where it’s either or for Udinese Anzhi can get under quite a bit of pressure. I am not so sure they know how to handle it. Udinese will try to get the ball to Di Natale in the box as often as possible, and hope he can create something. 

Furthermore; Anzhi should get more counter attack possibilities due to Udinese’s attacking thirst. When you got Et’o and Traore on top you can create something out of those breaks.
