CHELSEA V STEAUA BUCHAREST PREDICTIONS AND PREVIEW: BETTING STATS AND FACTS

Steaua take a 1-0 lead into the second leg thanks to a first half penalty from top scorer Raul Rusescu.  The first leg was a very tight match with Steaua just edging the possession stats but shots being almost equal.  Neither side was wanting to give up unnecessary goals and would prefer to settle the tie in London in the second leg.  A 1-0 lead doesn’t give Steaua much of an advantage but if they score in London then Chelsea will need 3 goals which could be tough.

Chelsea had a tough game at the weekend in the FA Cup against Manchester United.  After going 2-0 down early in the match they fought back excellently to 2-2 and had chances to win the match near the end.  That fight-back will give them motivation they can dominate Steaua in this game, especially in front of their own fans at Stamford Bridge.

Steaua meanwhile continued their excellent winning run in a 4-3 win away at Ceahlaul in the Romanian League and they look set to win the title easily for the first time in 7 years.
