Liverpool come into this one in upbeat mood after securing a 1st win in 6 games. They did play a weakened side in Bordueax for a 1-1 draw. They will again rest players for sure but they should still field a strong side here. Liverpool are 9th in Premiership with 11 points from 7 games. Injuries mean none of Jordan Henderson, Christian Benteke,Dejan Lovren and Roberto Firmino will take part while Daniel Sturridge will be rested. Sion are in 5th in Swiss Super League after 14 points from 10 games. They have lost their last two league games without scoring, going down to Vaduz and Grasshopper. Sion won their opening Europa League match as they beat Rubin 2-1. Sion have not played much in Europe in recent years. When they have their away record has been awful. 6 games on the road and 3 draws and 3 losses.
Although Liverpool will be moving players around in advance of the Merseyside derby coming up against Everton they should have enough to beat Sion. I can see a strong side here and Rodgers knows he simply cannot continue to lose games, no matter what the competition.
