LYON V TOTTENHAM PREDICTIONS AND PREVIEW: BETTING STATS AND FACTS

Tottenham take a lead into the second leg of this much anticipated Europa League fixture thanks to the left boot of Gareth Bale.  Both teams played a very strong side in the first leg in the standout tie of the round, showing that both managers have winning this tournament as a goal this season.  The match was quiet until the stroke of half time when Gareth bale gave Tottenham the lead with an expertly hit free kick.  Lyon didn’t let their head’s drop though and came out fighting in the second half, drawing level 10 minutes in thanks to a goal from Samuel Umtiti.  The game looked like it was going to finish all level until Tottenham got another freekick, minutes into injury time.  Only one man was going to hit this, and up stepped Gareth Bale to notch his second goal of the game and again save Spurs.  He really is up there amongst the top 5 players in the World Now and Tottenham will be fielding many enquiries for him come the end of the season.

Lyon showed some excellent quality at the weekend, thrashing Bordeaux 4-0 to close the gap on PSG at the top of Ligue 1 to just 3 points.  Tottenham had a free weekend and will be completely rested for this match.
