A real quality game this one and one that wouldn’t be out of place in Champions League. PSV Eindhoven are gunning for their 1st league title since 2008. Coach and club legend Philipe Cocu has his team playing excellently. They top Eridivisie with 61 points from 23 games and hold a 12 point lead over Ajax. Europa Liga this year brought 4 wins, 2 draws and 2 losses. They are without Josefzoon and Schaars for this one. Zenit top the Russia Prem with 41 points from 17 games. However they have not played since the last Champions League round in December so will be somewhat rusty. They finished 3rd in a group with Monaco, Benfica and Leverkusen. Zenit are without Lombaerts and Malafeev.
I think the long periods of inactivity for the Russian and Ukranian teams really work against them at this stage of European competition. 1 friendly since mid December means the players will not be anywhere the levels expected.
