Romanian sides have always done well in the 2nd tier competition. However in recent years they seem to have waned a little and for me are a nation to be disregarded. Steaua have played 7 league games and won 6 of them but you cant read too much into that. They have won 4, drew 1 and lost 1 in Champions League so far to get to the group stages of this tournament. Beating Stromsgodset and Aktobe were to be expected. Losing to Ludogorets was a surprise. However you can see why after the Bulgarians performance to just lose 2-1 to Liverpool. Aalborg have played 7 in Denmark, winning 2 and drawing 4 matches. In UEFA competition they have beaten Dinamo Zagreb but found APOEL Nicosia too much and dropped down the Europa.
Odds seem way to short on the Romanians for me, 1.50 is a strong favourite and that’s not Steaua. I take the Danes with a full goal start in which they are still underdogs.
