STEAUA BUCHAREST V AJAX PREDICTIONS AND PREVIEW: BETTING STATS AND FACTS

Ajax take the lead in this tie thanks to a routine 2-0 win in Amsterdam.  They went into the game as favourites and didn’t disappoint taking the lead in the first half through a goal from defender Toby Alderweireld.  The second half saw much of the same with Ajax extending their lead with another goal from a defender, this time Ricardo van Rhijn.  The only notable addition to the game from Steaua was the sending off of their midfielder Pintilii thanks to two late yellow cards.

Steaua are still in their winter break from the Romanian league so have had the full week off prior to this game and will have focused all their efforts on preparing for it.  Ajax meanwhile had an away match in the league against Waalwijk, which they won comfortably 2-0

STEAUA BUCHAREST V AJAX PREDICTIONS: 1X2 BETTING PREVIEW

This game is very evenly matched, Steaua know they need to win and will be pushing for it but Ajax have the quality and can easily catch them on the break.  I don’t expect a draw here, either Steaua will get the win with pressure or they’ll leave too much space at the back and Ajax will get the win.

I’m going to go with the quality side and back Ajax to win at 2.70 with BetVictor.
