Two teams progress from each Europa League group. Liverpool is currently second with 7 points. Young Boys also have 7 points. They play at home to Anzhi who has 10 points. Udinese has to win this game, and hope Young Boys can beat Anzhi. Then they’re in contention.

There are some doubts over a couple of players, but overall the picture is crystal clear for Udinese. Luis Suarez is suspended from the West ham game it’s likely he will take part in this fixture. Other than that Brendan Rodgers is expected to let several fringe players play. Sahin, Cole, Assaidi, Downing, Carragher, Coates, Suso, Morgan, Robinson, Pacheco, Coady and Yesil are all in contention. Lucas Leiva is back from injury but I doubt he will be played after completing a lot of minutes on the weekend. Andre Wisdom should be in contention too. If he is fit he might be in it.
It should be an entertaining game as the reverse fixture ended 3-2 to Udinese at Anfield. Liverpool will play their dynamic brand of flowing football, while Udinese will try to get the ball to veteran striker Di Natale who banged in the first goal for Udinese at Anfield. I think Liverpool will take charge and have most of the possession.

Liverpool has slowly but surely improved on their play. The goals are still lacking though. This is Udinese’s chance as I see it; however they let in goals a little bit too easy. They’ve let in eight goals in their last four home games. Liverpool should be able to take advantage.
Both sides won this weekend and go into the tie with confidence. Udinese is 2-3-1 in their last six at home, while Liverpool is 1-3-2 away. Udinese will definitely need a win here; Liverpool can’t take any chances either so the scene is set for an open football game. In such a setting I think the more classy Liverpool side will be victorious.

As this will be an open game, and Liverpool should be fielding a good side (including Suarez) I am tempted to take Liverpool -1. This means if Liverpool win by one goal only we get our money back. Pinnacle offers 2.81 for that, and I do not think that odds will be available on match day.
