A very close game here between two of the minnows of UEFA. Liechtenstein are improving slowly but surely and have risen up to 129 in world in FIFA rankings. Results for them have been a lot better recently with 2 wins, 1 draw and 3 losses. They have beaten todays rivals 1-0 in Moldova. The other win was San Marino at home while they drew 0-0 with Montenegro. Losses to Sweden, Austria and Switzerland in that time are fair enough. They are infact only rated 1 place lower than todays rivals Moldova. The ex-Russian state has not picked up at all of late and sits at the bottom of the group table. They haven’t won in over a year in a run of 11 games – With 4 draws and 7 defeats in that time. Scoring just 5 and conceding 12 goals they are not in the greatest of shape. The oddsmakers have Moldova under Evens or 2.00 which is nuts. Liechtenstein may not be the greatest side but they did beat them in their own country.
The Asian line sees Liechtenstein given a half goal start. So that gets us the draw and the home win. I prefer that to taking a badly out of sorts Moldova.
