EL SALVADOR U20 – COLOMBIA U20: PREDICTIONS

The Fifa U20 World Cup continues with the 3^rd round of games in Group C . This group is really tight with just three points separating the four sides. All to play for in both matches as all four positions will chop and change over the 90 minutes.

El Salvador u20 have made a miracle comeback and go into the final game with a chance of a knockout place. They were hammered in the opener, losing 3-0 to The Turks. The hosts were all over their Central American opposition and did not let them rest at all. Second game they took Australia and were expected to lose again. Despite allowing the lion’s share of the possession and chances to Australia, El Salvador took their chances and held on for a first ever win in a major championship.

Colombia u20 top the group and know a win would confirm 1^st place while a draw would guarantee a knock out place. In all likelihood they would go through with a low scoring defeat so the game is not as vital as it seems. Colombia are a really strong side, especially at the back. They play a very good football and are content to pass and probe for long periods, remaining patient and looking for weaknesses. 1^st match saw them face up to Australia and the game was surprisingly evenly matched. 1-1 was a fair result and maybe Australia were even slightly the better side. Next match saw Colombia come out on top 1-0 against hosts Turkey. It was a deserved result and again Colombia were very solid.
