ITALY V FRANCE PREDICTIONS

This is a friendly between two the great nations in World Football.  France are coming off a poor European Championships where they won just one game against Ukraine and were eventually put out by winners Spain in the first knockout stages.  Italy had a much better tournament, making it all the way to the final before being undone by a magnificent Spain performance.

Both teams will be keen to test some new players and systems against quality opposition ahead of more World Cup 2014 Qualifiers.

Italy are favourites as the home side here and I think that is fair.  Neither team will be taking the game at 100%, instead bringing some younger players into the side and making frequent substitutions through the night. I believe the home crowd will still be 100% behind the team and that can spur the players on to push for a win.
