NETHERLANDS V ITALY PREDICTIONS AND PREVIEW: BETTING STATS AND FACTS

Two powerhouses of European Football face off again in what will be a hotly contested friendly match between two sides who may well meet again in the World Cup next year.

The Netherlands are top of their qualifying group with 4 wins from 4 games and will expect a comfortable qualification campaign from here.  They have a few teams just 3 points behind but having already beaten both of them away from home they shouldn’t cause any trouble. 

Italy also lead their qualifying group with 10 points from 4 matches.  They have a 4 point lead over Bulgaria and expect to easily top the group.  Their last friendly was at home to France late last year where they fell to a 2-1 defeat thanks to a second half winner from substitute Gomis.

NETHERLANDS V ITALY PREDICTIONS: 1X2 BETTING PREVIEW

The market has Netherlands as favourites here as the home side.  They have been excellent at home since the European Championships with 2 wins in WCQ and a draw in a friendly with Germany and have not conceded in a goal in all 3 matches.

I think the Netherlands will be too strong at home here and expect them to overwhelm Italy in the second half to get the win.
