PORTUGAL - HOLLAND : PREDICTIONS

International friendlies continue with one of the biggest of the day. Its Portugal v Holland in Estadio do Algarve.

Portugal are flying at the top of a tough World Cup Qualifying group. They side 2 points ahead of Russia but have played 2 games more. Portugal are in decent form over the past 12 months, playing 11 times with 6 wins, 3 draws and 2 defeats. They have scored 19 and conceded 11, with the top scorer surprisingly not Ronaldo. Helder Postiga has 6 while the Real Madrid man has just 4. Postiga is the only real recognised striker for Portugal and is possibly the only reason why the Iberian nation do not really challenge for trophies. A solid defence and a very strong and attacking midfield with the best player in the world in Ronaldo. Only the lack of a  world class striker is holding them back. A really close game this one between two of the best sides in Europe. The friendly status of the game takes a little bit away from the competitiveness but these two sides should put on a show.
