Netherlands v Russia U21 Predictions and betting tips
The Netherlands continued their fine form from qualification and won against Germany like we predicted, priced at 2.90. Here they meet an, on paper much easier opponent in Russia. The Russians were outplayed against Spain, but defended well and lost only 1-0. Here they do have the highly influential Alan Dzagoev and top scorer Fyodor Smolov available for selection again. Both have arrived in Israel after their callup to the Senior squad that recently met Portugal.
Russia can defend well, and here they have a couple of world class players at this level back. They'll be very dangerous on counter attacks. I doubt that is enough though against a very experienced Holland squad (for this level). Several of the players have caps for the Senior team. Against a Russia that pretty much must win there will be plenty of opportunity on the break for them as well, and they have the player material to convert such chances to goals.
