PERU - URUGUAY: PREDICTIONS

Peru are on the fringes of the playoff position and really need to push on now. They face a tough game against a very good Uruguay side and with games against Bolivia and Venezuela to come Peru do have a serious chance of at least making the playoff position.  Peru have been pretty solid over the last year with 5 wins, 5 draws and 2 defeats. Goals in that time are low with 11 scored and 7 conceded and 6 clean sheets in that time. Peru have been very strong indeed in Lima with 4 wins, 1 draw and just 1 defeat. The ground is at high altitude and visiting teams do tend to struggle. Peru have been solid defensively and are relying heavily on Jefferson Farfan up front, with a third of their goals so far he is the key man.

Uruguay have a really talented squad and have really improved over the past few years. They have a really fresh Luis Suarez raring to go after his domestic ban rules him out for the early months of England Premiership. In Edinson Cavani they have another striker capable of winning games on his own. Uruguay a strong allround squad and have quality in all areas. In qualifying though they have been poor mainly on the road. Unbeaten in Montevideo with 3 wins and 3 draws they have only managed a single win away in 6 attempts. Uruguay sit in the playoff position ahead of Venezuela on goal difference. With games against Argentina and Colombia plus an almost unwinnable away tie in Ecuador its hard to see where Uruguay are getting any more points from.

PERU - URUGUAY: BETTING TIPS          

This is a very tight game indeed, both sides are desperate for points and this game is of ultra importance. Uruguay have a dreadful run in and must take the win here. Peru are a decent side but I think that Uruguay shade all the important game areas and will sneak a low scoring win.
