REPUBLIC OF IRELAND V KAZAKHSTAN: PREDICTIONS
Republic of Ireland continue to plug away but the truth is they are so limited that their lightweight squad cannot compete over a full qualifying section. They are only 6 points ahead of opponents Kasakhstan which speaks for itself. They are dropping down the rankings and may start to struggle more as they are given tougher groups. Ireland were so far behind the quality of Sweden and to an extent Austria. The quality in the side is very thin on the ground, very little creativity and virtually no playmakers. Forward Jon Walters missed out here.
Kazakhstan have not had a decent section for their level. They only have 1 win and 2 draws to show for 9 games. At home the immense distance opposition teams travel and the acclimitisation needed means they have a huge advantage but will suffer on the road.
