Slovakia have some talented individuals and are looking to qualify for yet another major tournament. They have started well in this group and sit level on points with opponents Greece and Bosnia. The team is well settled and is made up of the same core of players from the last few years. The standout players is Napoli playmaker Marek Hamsik, a much sought after creator and the heartbeat of this side. Slovakia opened up slowly and had very little to shout about in a dull draw with Lithuania and a listless 2-0 win over a poor Liechtenstein side. However things have picked up lately with their best performance so far, a 2-1 win over Latvia. In this game they set out to perform from the off and exploded out of the blocks with 2 goals in 9 minutes. Hamsik was outstanding here and totally bossed the game. Latvia were gifted a soft goal late on with a disputed penalty it was scant consolation as they were cleary 2nd best.
Greece have made a great start to what is a very evenly matched Group G. Greece have continued with pretty much the same squad that done so well in Euro 2012. Same team, same ethos and the same winning results. The hard working team ethic remains and for Greece is seems to work wonders. With very few standout players the collective effort is the key. So far this campain they have two wins, both were hardfought games and were typified by few clear cut chances. Greece are clincal in front of goal however and do tend to put away any chances. Last time out they played fellow group favourites Bosnia and this was a game neither side set out to lose. Chances were few and far between and neither side really pressed.

2.40 Slovakia (WillHill) is the selection in this difficult match. Slovakia are playing as well as Greece at the moment and for me are the more creative of the two sides. With a solidity and rigidness that Greece may find difficult to play against Slovakia are massive at 2.40. This is a very evenly matched group and all points will be at a premium. Expect all three leading sides to finish very close together and games against Lithuania will be vital. In this game Greece will be out for a point and this tactic may be their downfall. Slovakia will hog the ball and the possession and from this I can see a very low scoring home win.
