Sweden v Faroe Islands preview

Sweden lost 2-1 to Austria away. The Swedes to me looked a bit heavy and old fashioned versus a dynamic, quick and more modern Austria. This game against the football Dwarf that is the Faroe Islands is now a must win! Sweden has 8 points in 5 games, if they win here they're at 11, the same as Ireland and Austria. That will give them hope they can claim second, behind run away leader Germany.

For Sweden first choice keeper Isaksson is suspended. Hansson is the likely replacement. The CSKA midfielder, Rasmus Elm will probably not play either. For him the experienced Elfsborg player Anders Svensson is the most likely replacement.

The Faroe Islands have lost 5 out of 5 so far this qualification. They've only scored 2 goals, and let in 18. The side is put together mainly with local lads, but there are some squad members playing their football around in the Nordics.
