URUGUAY - COLOMBIA: PREDICTIONS

Uruguay have a really talented squad and have really improved over the past few years. They have a really fresh Luis Suarez raring to go after his domestic ban. His two goals in midweek against Peru show how sharp he is. In Edinson Cavani they have another striker capable of winning games on his own. Uruguay are a strong all round squad and have quality in all areas. In qualifying though they have been poor mainly on the road. Unbeaten in Montevideo with 3 wins and 3 draws they have only managed two wins away in 7 attempts. Uruguay sit in the playoff position ahead of Venezuela by three points. With games against Argentina plus an almost unwinnable away tie in Ecuador its hard to see where Uruguay are getting any more points from. Huge news regarding missing players as Diego Lugano & Diego Godin both miss out suspended.

Colombia are ranked 3 by FIFA, and while this is almost certainly flattering they are a very good side who sit second in the South American qualifying group on 26 points. Level on points with Argentina needing just four points to guarantee qualification. With three games to play they look virtually assured of a place in next years finals. Falcao is the biggest name, and he is doubtful for this match with an ankle injury. He wasn’t expected to play at the weekend and may sit out here. Colombia will miss Pablo Armero but may see a few others sit out also.

URUGUAY - COLOMBIA: BETTING TIPS           

Really tight game this one, I don’t think Falcao will play here and if he is confirmed out it will stamp our selection. Uruguay really seem to up their game when they are cornered and here with their backs to the wall and points need I am taking them again. Odds of 2.15 with WilliamHill  on Uruguay are a great price as no team has managed to turn them over. I don’t expect goals either and Under 2.5 would be a solid selection too.
