Poland had a disappointing European Championship as the host nation.  They started with two draws before losing their final group game to Czech Republic which put them out in the group stages.  Their first game in World Cup Qualifying was an away trip to Montenegro where they fought back from a first half deficit to draw 2-2.

Moldova are yet to win a game this year and have actually not scored a goal in their 5 games.  They have managed two 0-0 draws which is the best it has been for them this year with the rest all multiple goal defeats.  Their first World Cup Qualifier was a home game against England which was a disaster from the start, giving away a penalty in the 3^rd minute, and finished with a 5-0 defeat.
