Defeat at Sassuolo was the final straw for Allegri, and Milan sacked the coach shortly afterwards. Former player Clarence Seedorf is to take the reigns, and he will be hoping Milan are still in the cup when it becomes official. Just six points above the relegation zone is unchartered territory for the footballing giants, but form in the league this season has been poor and inconsistent. The visit of Serie B Spezia should mean a return to winning ways, or it will cause further embarrassment. Spezia are twelfth in the second tier, and their last six have brought three wins, two losses and a draw. They have already taken a Serie A scalp in the cup this season when beating Genoa in an earlier round. Constant, Abate(def) and El Shaarawy(str) are out for Milan, though I would expect a strong line up here, as a slip up would spell disaster.
