Roma lost their unbeaten season record at Juventus on Sunday, and will want to get back to winning ways in the Italian cup, a competition they will have serious thoughts on winning. Prior to Sunday, Roma had gone seventeen games unbeaten in Serie A, and home form is excellent. Sampdoria have recovered from a very poor start to the season to climb to fourteenth, but following a league loss last week, survival in Serie A remains their main priority this season. Prior to Sunday Sampdoria had gone six games unbeaten, and even on Sunday they had the look of a very decent team. Roma have Balzaretti(def)injured and will rotate the side for sure, but it is big enough to cope. Sampdoria will definitely make changes to the team, although they have a full squad to choose from.
