AC Milan v Bologna predictions: Stats

AC Milan is 6-0-4 at home in the Serie A this season. Bologna is 2-0-8 away. Form wise Milan has started the second half of the season with a home win against Siena, followed up by a draw away to Sampdoria. Bologna lost away 2-0 to Genoa, but last Serie A match day they won 4-0 at home against Chievo. Since, and including 2011 AC Milan has hosted Bologna twice at the San Siro. Last time it ended 1-1 in a game where AC Milan took the game to the visitors, but Bologna were dangerous enough on the break. The game before that Milan won 2-1. The reverse fixture this season ended with a 3-1 victory for AC Milan. Also this was a match that AC Milan dictated in terms of possession.

AC Milan should have Muntari, Bonera and Antonini fit for this game, as they've all been in full training. Ambrosini, Yepes and de Jong are still out. Pato has been sold to Corinthian, so he's obviously not taking part. Bits and part striker, Acquafresca could return for Bologna.

AC Milan is a massive club by any standards, and even if they're going through a tough time they are a force. So far this year AC Milan is 10 points ahead of Bologna, and that seems realistic. Milan are no doubt favorites for this game, and Bologna will find it hard to score. Only seven goals in 10 away games is the facit so far, and Milan gives away goals sparingly at the San Siro. Milan has won only three out of a total ten home games with two or more goals, so I'd be careful with the wide Asian handicap bets.
