AC Milan opened up with an awful 1-0 home loss to a dogged Sampdoria side. Milan were very poor and attacking wide offered very little. Next match up they travelled to Bologna and Pazzini on his debut took all the plaudits as he bagged a hattrick. German Denis as well as midfielders Maxi Moralez and Ezequiel Schelotto form part of the attack that has a level of quality. Playing a 4-4-1-1 formation coach Colantuono is not planning a defensive formula but he has to be aware they may not have a better chance to beat Milan as this one. Midweek national team scorer Federico Peluso will be banned for this match after a sending off in game day 2.
