Sampdoria play their first home game of the season and will welcome bottom place Siena. Both sides were docked points as a result of the match fixing scandal of last season. The away side played a tough game to grind out a draw at home to Torino but know they still have some way to go to reduce their points deficit. They were docked 6 points and Sampdoria 1 point. Sampdoria recored a famous victory on opening day, travelling to Milan they played an excellent game of strong defence combined with effective counter attacking. They reduced AC Milan to long range pot shots and fully deserved the three points.Playing a 4-3-3 formation the team were excellently drilled by coach Ciro Ferrara. The young Sampdoria outfit were excellent in all areas and chased and harried a hapless Milan for 90 minutes. Sampdoria will miss injured pair The hosts miss injured duo Junior da Costa and Juan Antonio but may start with the excellent Maxi Lopez, he made a brief cameo in the Milan match but is fit now. Siena went to Turin and battled out a 0-0 result. The Bolzoni brothers and Parravicini will miss the upcoming game.Siena lined up for a 3-5-2 formation and closed down any available space and kept very tight at the back.
Betting Prediction - This will be another tight game with Siena scrapping for every point, goals look to of a premium in this match also so a low scoring home win is on the cards for me. Sampdoria have the better quality players and should be able to take the points on offer.
