ROMA v FIORENTINA PREDICTIONS AND PREVIEW: BETTING STATS

Fiorentina are the only side in Serie A to have not lost in their last six matches. However, their most recent performance was one of the worst of the season, drawing at home to Sampdoria, a side in the bottom half of the table. Fiorentina are currently fourth in the table but the effects of a small squad could soon begin to tell on their league position. Roma have won their last three matches, the latest being a 3-1 win at Siena. That side were deducted six points at the start of the season for match fixing and have done well to overcome that handicap, though they are currently at the bottom of the table with the handicap taken into account. These sides' games combined have produced over 3 goals per match, though Roma’s high scoring rate at home distorts the figures

TEAM NEWS AND RUN OF PLAY

Roma had 55% of the possession but lost away to Lazio recently. Erik Lamela is a key player and he scored an early goal but three goals in 12 minutes sealed the win for Lazio. Even so to dominate the ball in such a match suggests Roma will have a greater share of the ball against Fiorentina. This match brings together two sides that have not been convincing at home and away respectively.
