VERONA – AC MILAN: PREDICTIONS

Verona return to Serie A after a  an 11 year gap, they have been given a nightmare 1^st game with giants Milan the visitors.

Verona finished 2^nd in Serie B to get a welcome return to the top tier. Verona have brought in a large number of players and some interesting names. To add to the youngsters who performed so well last year are Samuele Longo, Massimo Donati and Luca Toni. Alejandro Gonzalez  and Daniele Cacia are good signings too.  Jacopo Sala and Ezequil Crigliano are likely to miss out here, both are new into the side.

AC Milan were so far behind Juventus last year, indeed they very nearly missed out on Champions League qualification all together. Only for a last minute winner against Siena they would be lining up on a Thursday night in Europa League.  Out goes a few players who never really hit the heights. Alex Pato waddles home as does Mathieu Flamini and Bojan Krkic.  Legend Massimo Ambrosini leaves after 18 years. Incoming players are a bit low key, Andreas Poli, Urby Emmanuelson, Matias Silvestre and Bryan Cristante. For me these “ins” are not good enough for Milan in league and Champions League. I see no improvement for Rossoneri this season.

VERONA – AC MILAN: BETTING TIPS

AC Milan should be able to dispose of Verona easily enough. A side with the frontline duo of Ballotelli and El Sharaawy is a handful for almost all the Serie A. Milan need to be totally focussed on these games against the lesser lights if they want to keep pace with Juventus and Napoli.  A decent price for us on Milan too with 1.82 with Williamhill.
