ARSENAL - GALATASARY: PREDICTIONS                     

Final time of Emirates Cup and its hosts Arsenal against Galatasaray.

Arsenal goes into the friendly period before the league starts in a similar vein to each of the past few years. No major signings despite the money being available and the fans revolting. The cash is there as shown by the 40 Million offer for Luis Suarez but no-one else has been properly recruited. Arsene Wenger has trimmed the squad with loads of deadwood leaving. Out goes Andre Arshavin, Andre Santos, Denilson, Vito Mannone and Johan Djorou among others.  Arsenal played a typical game against a lively Napoli, conceding two sloppy goals they gave themselves 15 minutes to fight back, and they did thanks to a fantastic goal by Oliver Giroud.

 Galatasaray won last year’s  Turkish league in style and also progressed to the quarter finals of the Champions League. Undone by Real Madrid over two legs but at least representing Turkish football with pride. The side is pretty much the same as last year and with the cream of Turkish football and Didier Drigba, Felipe Melo and Wesley Sniejder they should have a decent chance of retaining the league this year. Galatasaray are odds on favourites for the Turkish league once again, and are very likely to do so. Galatasary were slightly fortunate to qualify to the final as they were slightly outplayed by Porto. However they did defend well and took the chance given to Felipe Melo from the spot.

ARSENAL - GALATASARY: BETTING TIPS

I take Arsenal to recover better and grab the win in Emirates Cup final. Galatasaray were more fortunate I feel to make the final and I see the hosts with the bigger, better squad being able to grab the trophy. The odds are a little short though but 1.72 Arsenal (williamhills) is at the top end of the market.
