NAPOLI - BENFICA: PREDICTIONS

Rafa Benitez gets his 1^st taste at the home dugout of Stadio San Paulo, Portuguese giants Benfica will give him something to worry about in this very good club friendly.

Napoli look good this season to at least match last season’s runners up spot.  There are a few questions over Rafa Benitez, especially in Italy; his time at Inter an unmitigated disaster. Napoli were the better side over hosts Arsenal for well over an hour yesterday and can feel a little hard done by to not win that game.  They were battered by Porto 3-1 in the 3^rd place playoff but the side was changed a lot from the recognises faces.

Benfica were the nearly men last year in pretty much every competition they entered. Finishing 2^nd in the league, Europa League and Taca de Portugal in an amazing series of results. Coach Jorge Jesus seemed to grow older rapidly as each game fell through his fingers, ruining a lot of trousers too as he fell to the floor after late goals each time. A massive influx of players for Benfica, with the pick of the bunch amongst a few Serbians brought in. Filip Djuricic, Lazar Markovic and Miralem Sulejmani will bolster the spine of the side.

Early days for this game and few bookmakers yet to price up. Betsson seem to have been a bit generous with their opening offer. 2.21 Napoli (betsson)seems a huge price and when you compare to Betclic (1.85) you see you could be getting massive value.
