ABERDEEN – KILMARNOCK: PREDICTIONS                            

The chase for runners up in Scotland Premier League begins in earnest, current favourites Aberdeen host Kilmarnock at Pittodrie.

Aberdeen look the most likely to mount a “challenge” against Celtic this year. The Dons have made some big moves this season, shipping out some big names who maybe didn’t show their best form; Out goes Rory Fallon, Gavin Rae,  Stephen Hughes and Gary Naismith.  Replacing them are a lot of proven Scotland Premier quality, Willo Flood, Nicky Weaver, Calvin Zola, Greg Wylde and Barry Robson. Coach Derek McInnes is a shrewd judge and all the ingrediants are there for Aberdeen to at least make Europe.

Kilmarnock look like a worse side from last year for sure, players have left and not been adequately replaced for me. Cillian Sheridan, Cammy Bell and James Dayton have left while Kris Boyd looks likely to follow. Kille have signed four players so far and strangely three of the are keepers! New boss Allan Johnstone only has a season at Queen of South under his belt and could struggle here.

ABERDEEN – KILMARNOCK: BETTING TIPS

This game looks very likely to be a home win for me and I am surprised to find quotes of just under 2.00 for Aberdeen.  The home side are a far better side for me and should be good bets for second. Killie could be in for a struggle this year but will benefit from the huge points deduction for Hearts. The Dons just shade it  over the last two years with 2 wins, 2 draws and 1 Kilmarnock victory.
