CELTIC V HEARTS PREDICTIONS AND PREVIEW: BETTING STATS AND FACTS

Celtic are top of the SPL with 43 points from 21 matches.  They have won 4 of their last 5 matches and lost one, with an aggregate score of 9-1.  They enjoy a 9 point lead at the top of the table over Motherwell and are looking like easy winners of the SPL this year as most people expected.

Hearts are 9^th in the table with 26 points from 21 matches.  They are 4 points off the top 6 and are well clear on Dundee at the bottom of the table with only 12 points.  Hearts again have had a number of off field issues this year, including players seeing late payment of wages and it seems to have had an effect on performances.

Celtic recently completed the signing of Australian midfielder Tom Rogic who joins from Central Coast Mariners for a fee of around £400,000.  The bigger transfer news for Celtic is the reported £5m bid from Norwich for striker Gary Hooper.  This could be tempting for Celtic as the player has 18months left on his deal and talks have been slow on a new contract.

Hearts have already lost Ryan McGowan this window as he moves to Shandong Luneng in China.  They will be hoping not to lose any other first team players this window but adding to the squad may be out of the question with Hearts current financial predicament.

Celtic are strong favourites here as the home side.  They have had quite indifferent form at home this year and have dropped more points than normal but their last 3 matches at Parkhead have seen 3 wins and 3 clean sheets for Celtic.

I expect Celtic to be too strong for Hearts here and they should be able to seal a comfortable win.
