Rangers get the chance to make it back to the top tier of Scottish football after a short hiatus. With the 2012 season they were relegated to 4th tier of Scottish pyramid due to major financial irregularities. They have surged throught the lower divisions but found the championship a tough nut to crack. They finished 3rd in the league (24 points behind winners Hearts!) and faced a two legged tie with 2nd place Hibs to get a crack at the final and a match against 2nd bottom Motherwell of the Premiership. They beat Hibs 2-1 after a 2-0 win at home and a 1-0 loss in Edinburgh. For this game Rangers will be without Seb Faure but the Frenchman has only made 8 games for Rangers. Well finished 2nd bottom in the Premiership with a total of 36 points from 38 games. They ended up a mere 6 points ahead of St Mirren in bottom spot. This game is a 2 legged tie and is very close to call. Motherwell have no player problems at all.
With a big crowd behind them and a promise of a return to the top flight after 4 long years I think Rangers can at least take the home leg here. Close game for sure but a win to nil could be a good shout to. With decent odds on the 1x2 I go with that though.
