ST MIRREN V INVERNESS PREDICTIONS AND PREVIEW: BETTING STATS AND FACTS

St Mirren will be on a high after their excellent League Cup semi-final win over Celtic at the weekend but they need to refocus on SPL duties quickly and get some points on the board to move up the table.  They are currently 11^th in the table but the position is a little misleading as they are only 5 points off 6^th place and a win would take them 9^th.  Their recent SPL form has been mixed with 2 wins, 2 draws and 1 defeat in their last 5.

Inverness are a lofty 2^nd in the table with 37 points from 22 matches.  They are Celtic’s closest challengers this year but are still 12 points back, albeit with a game in hand.  They are unbeaten in their last 5 matches with 2 wins and 3 draws but unfortunately lost their League Cup semi final at the weekend on penalties to Hearts.

Inverness have shown they are an excellent team this season but how much will their 120 minutes at the weekend affect them along with the emotional drain of losing on penalties.  St Mirren meanwhile will be full of confidence after full deserving their win over Celtic and should be able to take that into this match.

I’m going to go for the outsider here and feel St Mirren can get the home win.  William Hill are offering a very generous 3.00 on it which is an easy bet for me.
