STURM GRAZ – RAPID WIEN: PREDICTIONS             

Huge game in Austria Bundesliga in Graz, Sturm face Rapid Wien in a game that could be between the two runners up.

Sturm Graz  have tasted success three times over the last decade or so. Before that they never really were one of the bigger sides in Austrian football.  They went through a period of turbulence after winning the 1^st two titles in the late 1990’s, vastly overspending they went into a tailspin and were very lucky to recover. The side are quoted as 4^th favourites for the title at around 25-1 but will have great difficulty overhauling RB Salzburg who do look in a league of their own. Out for Sturm are Leanhard Khaufmann and Marco Djuricin; neither will be missed as both only backup. Sturm have opened up with a loss to Grodig and a draw with Wacker Innsbruck.

Rapid Wien is the most popular and successful club in Austria with a massive 32 league titles; however none have been won since 2008. The side from the capital are joint 2^nd favourites for the league with a best price of 6-1. Some bookmakers have big rivals Austria Vienna ahead in the betting but Rapid have the better team for me. A few injuries for Rapid but none concerning the 1^st team and all squad members.
