Alaves made a successful return to the top flight with a superb 1-1 draw at Atletico Madrid. They will be without Pantic and Feddal who are both injured for this one. Sporting Gijon opened their season with a fine 2-1 home win over Athletic Bilbao. The Rojiblancos are unbeaten in their last three clashes with Alaves with two wins and a draw, and have not conceded in those games. Sporting must do without Lora, Rachid, Dani Ndi who are all injured.
