Barcelona opens their defence of La Liga with an easy start against Real Betis. They have a run out in midweek with a 3-0 Spain Super Cup win over Sevilla. Barcelona are missing a few players here though. Out will be Ter Stegen, Mascherano, Mathieu, Iniesta, Andre Gomes, Neymar and Rafinha! Barcelona have replacements and they have excellent youth also so players missing are less keenly felt. Betis finished 10th last season and unusually for them were just as good on the road as at home. In games the big three last year (Barce, Real & Atletico) Betis lost 5 of the 6 games and conceded 18 goals in that period. They will miss Alex Martinez for this one.
With Neymar missing amongst a plethora of other players I don’t really like looking at the high handicaps for Barcelona. We are looking at +2.5 for Betis so its quite difficult. Instead I look to the win to nil option. Both games last season were won to nil for Barcelona against Betis. At 8-11 or 1.72 we get good vale
