ESPANYOL V ATLETICO MADRID: PREDICTIONS
Espanyol had a fantastic start to the season as they went 5 without a win and looked really good. However they seemed to hit a wall after the 3-2 home win over Bilbao. Three consecutive losses to Villarreal, Getafe and Elche have saw them plummet down to 8th in this condensed league. Big men out for Espanyol too with key attacking midfielder Victor Sanchez (3 goals so far) out suspended. While injured are key defender Hector Moreno, squad men Victor Alverez and Mattioni are out too.
Atletico Madrid sit joint top of La Liga with 8 straight wins. Diego Simeone has his team playing exactly as he wants them and they do look a formidable side. With two impressive Champions League wins against experianced sides Zenit and Porto this team is quality. Highlight so far was the 1-0 win at Santiago Bernebau. Every player was at the top of their game and they fully deserved the win having dominated their illustrious neighbours. Missing for Atletico is Adrian while key midfielder Raul Garcia is a doubt.
