ESPANYOL – GETAFE: PREDICTIONS

Espanyol finally lost their unbeaten start to the season with a loss away to Villarreal. A game they had chances in but were inferior to the Andalucians  Three wins (Valencia, Granada and Bilbao) plus two draws  (Betis and Vigo) mean they sit on 11 points so its still a great start for Espanyolalongside todays rivals in 4^th spot.  Espanyol struggled last year but early signs are very encouraging indeed. Only major player missing for the Catalans is starting defender Juan Fuentes; Out to is Victor Alverez, however this defender has yet to start a match.

 

Getafe gave another solid performance to make it two wins from the last three games. Prior to midweek a solitary win over a poor Osasuna and a home draw with newly promoted Almeria is all they have to show for the start. Losses to Sociedad and Valladolid (without scoring) and a 4-1 loss at Real Madrid. Getafe have some decent players in their squad but the overall quality is lacking. Key men missing for Getafe though,  Mehdi Lacen missing again but Angel Lafita is out and is the main man; Also likely to sit out is Juan Espin, a starting defender.
