Granada v Zaragoza predictions and preview: Betting stats
Granada are 15th so far in the Primera Division with 8 points at a record of W2 D2 L3. They are yet to be beaten at home and go into this fixture on the back of concecutive wins. Their form reads LDLWW and these recent wins have propelled them out of the relegation zone. At home they have recorded two 1-1 draws against Sevilla and Deportivo and followed these up with a 2-1 win against Celta Vigo. Their games have been pretty low scoring with an average of 2.29 goals and 3 of their 7 games have seen 3 or more goals.
Zaragoza are a couple of places and indeed a couple of points below their hosts. A record of W2 D0 L5 has needless to say been inconsistent and LLWLL recent form shows they aren’t improving as of late. Away from home they began with a win against Espanyol and have since lost both games 2-0, to Sociedad and Valencia. Their games have seen even fewer goals than Granada at an average of just 2.00 per game and only 2 games have exceeded 2.5 goals.
These two sides have met just twice; last season. Both games ended in 1-0 home wins and were not particularly entertaining encounters.
Team News and Run of Play
Granada have been without striker Ighalo all season and also have Fran Rico and Hassan Yebda out long term. For Zaragoza, Hungarian Adam Pinter played the final 15 minutes for his country on Tuesday night and could feature for the first time since the start of September. Obradovic may also return. Both sides have a number of suspensions for the weekend.
Granada are probably performing at their expected level so far this season, hovering above the drop zone and it seems this may be how their season goes. Their recent form has made their dismal start a little brighter but they need to capitalise on their good form if they want to push on up the table. It is safe to say they aren’t and probably won’t become a high scoring side. Just 4 goals at home is a poor return.
Zaragoza are yet to draw this season. They seem to surround their wins with poor defeats and away from home they continue that trend. They have just two different goalscorers this season and will obviously need players to chip in if they want to win a few more games. Their games average the fewest goals in the league which may be a positive as they are not conceding a huge amount of goals.
Both defences in this game look solid and should be able to deal with the not so potent attacks coming at them. I think the game could be played a slow pace with both sides finding real difficulty in breaking the other down.
Granada v Zaragoza predictions: 1X2 betting preview
For me this could possibly end in a marginal victory or a low scoring draw. I think Granada will probably make it three wins in a row. But it certainly won’t be a classic Granada victory.

Granada v Zaragoza predictions: Asian Handicap preview
Granada (-0.5) is the bet since I think they should win. But no odds exceed Even money in the 1X2 market so stick to the match betting for better value.
Granada v Zaragoza predictions: Total Goals preview
I think this game is almost certainly not going to exceed 2.5 goals. Granada’s home games and Zaragoza’s away games average just below 2.5 goals and seemingly this game looks like being another low-scoring affair.
The 1.73 with BetVictor for under 2.5 goals is available here.
