MALAGA V REAL VALLECANO PREDICTIONS AND BETTING TIPS

Malaga have been through a hell of an upheaval off the pitch with UEFA sanctions and huge outgoings in players and coaches. They lined up this year with a clear lower class side and were given one the toughest opening fixture lists in the league. Away ties at Valencia and Sevilla with a home game against Barcelona would trouble most sides in this league. Two 1-0 losses to Barce and Valencia were performances that offered little more than defensive doggedness. Last match was more of a fight with Malaga going toe to toe with Sevilla in a 2-2 game that ebbed and flowed.  Key midfielder Duda was sent off in the dying minutes and will sit out with countryman Weligton.

Rayo Vallecano had an encouraging start to the season with a 3-0 drubbing of new boys Elche. Since then things have gone sour when they were on the receiving end of 5-0 hammering at neighbours Atletico Madrid. They followed it up with a much improved performance, dominating a Levante side but still finishing on the losing side. Injuries abound for Rayo who have Iago Falque, Nery Castillo, Jose Carlos out injured and Ali Bangoura suspended.

Both sides are better than their results so far for me but goalscoring might be difficult for the pair. Just two goals for Malaga in three matches, Rayo fare better with 4 so far but 3 were against a poor Elche side. I go with Under 2.5 goals at 2.00 with William Hill.
