OSASUNA - GRANADA : PREDICTIONS

Two sides who only just escaped relegation meet at El Sadar, its Osasuna  v Granada in Spain La Liga.

Osasuna only escaped the drop due to teams around them struggling to grab points over the last month or so. Osasuna only finished 3 points above Mallorca in 3^rd bottom. Losing key striker Kike Sola will be a big blow. They have taken a gamble on Oriel Riera, brought in for a small fee but a striker with an excellent strike rate in Segunda leagues. The midfield has been stregnthend with Miguel de las Cuevas and Francesco Silva brought in. A few worries for Osasuna with Miguel Flano, Lolo and Nino all out.

Granada finished just above Osasuna last year and the side finished the season in very similar circumstances. Struggling going into the last month or so they managed a series of wins to surge out of the drop zone. Granada share owners of Udinese and Watford, with an agreement to move players around and a large part of the business involves try to make a profit Granada tend to really turnaround  the playing staff. This season has been no different with 12 players brought in and more shipped out. Key players in are striker Riki, attacking midfielders Yacine Brahimi and Piti. With Brazilian left back Douglas Santos a real prospect for the future. The team looks a bit stronger than last year but should still be in the lower half of the league. Defender Diego Mainz is rated doubtful for the game.

I take the home side to win here, Osasuna look a better all round side this year. Both sides will not be expected to finish near the top spots but I expect Osasuna to be strong at home as usual.
