Celta Vigo are 15^th in the league with 10 points (W3 D1 L6) and their form has been as inconsistent as their hosts (LWLDL) mainly due to their poor away record; they are yet to pick up a point on their travels. Both sides have relatively clean bills of health with Vallecano missing just Arana and Celta Vigo missing Llorca and Insa.

Vallecano recorded an impressive 2-1 away win at Malaga last week and have really given a good account of themselves if you discount their 5-0 drubbing at the hands of Barcelona. Mid-table is probably the best league position they can really hope far but they will want to win this game to continue a good home record (if you discount the defeats against the big two).

Celta Vigo’s poor away record will not help them this season. I suspect they may struggle in the league if they can’t put together a run of results and if they lose every other week it doesn’t look like they’ll manage it. All defeats have been narrow until they played Barcelona and Real Madrid but they could really do with a win on the road.

I can see this as being a very close game, as is often the case for both Vallecano’s home games and Celta’s away games but I think the home side will edge it. Odds of 2.46 with Pinnacle seem to suggest the bookies agree it won’t be a walk in the park for Vallecano. But for me it looks like 6 defeats from 6 for the away side and a Vallecano win is the bet here.
