Real Madrid has started the season pretty much as expected, only dropping one point in the 0-0 season opener away to Sporting Gijon, and then winning 5-0 at home to Real Betis and 6-0 away to Espanyol. This midweek they beat Shakhtar Donetsk 4-0 in the Champions League. They have, in other words, scored lots of goals and conceded nil. A couple of new injuries occurred in the midweek CL match, with both Ramos and Bale being injured. Rodriguez and Danilo are still injured, while Varane who played half the CL match, is expected to be available today.
Granada has one point after three matches, a 2-1 win away to Getafe. The two losses came in the season opener at home to Eibar, and last weekend at home to Villarreal. They have conceded seven goals so far, something that does not bode well for today’s match. Their midfielder Perez was injured last weekend and will be unavailable, while the substitute Rico who scored the only goal in that match might get a chance in the starting XI today.
The odds on Real Madrid are naturally very low, and the biggest questions for this match is how many goals will Real score, who will score them, and how.
