Rafael Nadal v David Ferrer preview

The French Open Final of 2013 is an all Spanish affair. Rafael Nadal (4th in the ATP rankings) and David Ferrer (5th in the ATP rankings) is set to be a very interesting game:

They've played each other twice on clay in 2013, Nadal winning both 2-1 in sets, and the last eight ties between the two have been won by Nadal. That said; Ferrer has four wins in his career against his compatriot. 

Going into this tie Ferrer is surfing on a straight sets win against Tsonga, while Federer had a very tough five set match against Djokovic. Ferrer goes into this tie with considerably much less game time on the courts than Nadal. I doubt that will be critical, but should the game take time that might give Ferrer a slight advantage.

Both are decent, but not great servers, prefering to strike with good return shots. Nadal, as we all know is a fighter, and  he hits more winners than his opponent here.

Ferrer has so far been super solid in his defensive play this tournament. Ferrer has done very few unforced errors and has played well from the baseline. He has also been excellent in his return play. He's been so solid that he hasn't dropped a set all tournament.
